Both Donna and I are utterly heartbroken and in shock. A huge piece of us is missing. Stevey's death is devastating and we will always miss his beautiful smiley face, twitchy nose and cheeky character.
We are so grateful for the public's support and would like to thank everyone for their touching messages and kind words. Already two shows have named classes in his memory and provided trophies and sashes to celebrate his life and story. Everyone's beautiful gestures are massively appreciated and heart-warming. The sense of community in the horse world has really shone through.
Stevey allowed me to live my dreams and I feel blessed to have had such a special relationship with the most genuinely sweet natured horse that I have ever met. He always tried his hardest with everything. Stevey was a best friend as well as my horse of a life time. In his two showing seasons, he achieved more than what some horses achieve in a life time, being placed at HOYS two years in a row.
Thank you for the wonderful memories that I will cherish for ever, Stevey. You were more loved than you'll ever know and understand. I hope you are resting in peace and that some day we will be reunited in Heaven my special orange man...
