On 8th March, I headed to Sheffield to judge at Pattrington Mill Show. It was a long day and I judged until 7pm. Thank you to my steward Lauren Matkin for helping me out on the day. (See photo below of my supreme champion).
Bow has enjoyed a week and a half off work after breaking him in Jan/Feb. I now have a month to try and get him up to speed for an Intro test next month. Thankfully with some lighter nights it might be a bit easier to get in a few schooling sessions a week. I have even treated myself to some white breeches and gloves for the event!
Thank you to everyone who has helped me to raise money for Retraining of Racehorses in relation to the Great North Run. I have raised £210.80 in the first three weeks. Please continue to donate by using the Just Giving link in my February blog / text donation advice. I am enjoying training for this. Horse and Hound have also published an online story about this:
On 15th March, I had a great day judging dressage at Mill House EC and on 28th March I returned to teach at a showing clinic from 9.30-3.30 with a range of group and private lessons. I had a lovely day teaching some combinations I have worked with in the past and some new partnerships. I am looking forward to meeting some of them again soon. I was also lucky enough to ride three of them during the different sessions. Thank you to all that attended!
