I enjoyed another lovely judging appointment at the Fern White Charity Show, organised by Polly Mallender, who did an amazing job for such a wonderful cause. Well done to Polly and her team for organising such a brilliant day - I was proud to be a small part of it! I judged the WHP ring with David Morley and we were happy to see our supreme champion WHP take Supreme Mini Champion of the show! Thank you to Lauren Matkin for stewarding our ring all day.
I was also delighted to have another publication in Horse Magazine this month. (Photos below). I had a super day with Anne-Marie Perry and it was very enjoyable to write about and learn from, too!
I have also enjoyed some social time in July and have taken my foot off the pedal with showing for the rest of the season but I am looking forward to a few select dates left on my showing calendar and have my eyes open for a potential show horse for next season.
Unfortunately, my showing clinic for ROR at Vale View Equestrian Centre had to be cancelled due to an outbreak of strangles. It was lovely to be asked to teach a second clinic this year for ROR and I am looking forward to judging for ROR at Tockwith Show next month.
July also marked the judging of the Equilibrium Rising Star winner selection for 2014. A huge well done to my fellow showing friend Natalie Bird and her horse Vishnu. The pair have an amazing year ahead of them!
I am also currently searching for a new home for a 4 year old, ROR, bay mare by Court Cave. She stands at 15.2hh and could compete in large hack, large isrt, ROR, working show horse classes or make a nice all rounder. She is sound, clean in her wind and vice free. Unfortunately, she wasn't quite good enough on the racetrack and so a good home is needed for her. (SOLD to first enquiry! Good luck to Nicola and Blossom!) Also, a huge well done to Leanne and Super Trupa - a horse I retrained and sold on behalf of Edwin Tuer last summer. The pair have enjoyed many wins recently including at Cleveland County Show. I went to ride Rupert in July and even had a little jump on him (photos below). I also had a lovely beach ride with my friend Helen Dobbin on her coloured Duo Danny. (Pictures below).

July 28th also marked my two year anniversary of owning Talisker Bow Bells!
On 30th July, I went to Borrowby Show and competed in my first dog show with Delightful Lady (Dusty) my wire haired fox terrier. I was delighted that the judge awarded her 2nd place out of of 13.... this could become a little addictive!
